1. Expand Your Veggies Freshness
Simply line your refridgerators crisper drawer with paper towels. The towels will absorb the excess moisture from the veggies that allow them to rot.
2. Don't Waste Lemons
If you only need a little bit of fresh lemon juice then why should you cut your lemon in half and throw it away? Right, you shouldn't! Instead puncture the lemon with a skewer and simply squeeze out only the amount you need.
3. Revive Stale Muffins and Breads
Everyone hates stale baked goods! It's the worst. But now y'all can do this nifty trick. Sprinkle some water on the top, place in a paper bag and put the bag in the microwave for about 10-15 seconds. The steam created by the water will revive those day old goodies!
4. Make Soup Less Salty
Have your ever taken hours to make a pot of fresh homemade delicious soup; only to taste it and find that it is WAY to salty. Y'all I have done this so many times its almost embarrassing; almost! Thanks to this this little beauty no one has to know! Add a few wedges of potato or apple and simmer for 10 minutes. Scoop the potato or apple out and taste it again. Ta-Da! Salt is gone.
5. Save Your Sour Cream and Cottage Cheese
This tip is also a beauty. To keep your sour cream and cottage cheese from going bad and making last a bit longer; turn the container upside-down in the fridge. This creates a vacuum seal that prevent the bacteria growth.
